The lakeshore in Brainerd, Minnesota is sprinkled with a combination of larger vacation lodges and a few smaller, family run, resorts. At one time, just about every lake in the Brainerd Lakes area was home to several of these smaller family vacation resorts. But lakeshore development, and rising property values, has decreased their numbers in recent years. The larger vacation resorts are all that remain on many lakes. One of my favorite resorts in Brainerd is Breezy Point Resort on Pelican Lake. Although one of the larger resorts in Brainerd MN, this resort has been able to maintain a distinctive Up North feel and family vacation environment. Located just east of Pequot MN, Breezy is located amongst the best golf courses in the Brainerd Lakes area.
