The popularity of the Brainerd Lakes area, and its close proximity to the Twin Cities, has created a Minnesota lakeshore environment that has no equal in Minnesota. With the exception of Lake Minnetonka, few lakes in Minnesota posse as many lake homes as the Brainerd Lakes Area. But unlike Lake Minnetonka, most of Brainerd's lake homes are located on lakes that have excellent water clarity.
